What you can build

Review recorded edits, undo a change or jump to an earlier state. Level edits, line-point edits and drawing edits have their own histories.

The options below are grouped by the way you use them. Available controls depend on the selected object, editor mode and enabled features.

Try it in a level

Start with a small scene so each setting has a visible result.

  1. Make a small recorded edit, then open History in the relevant editor.
  2. Click the preceding row or use Ctrl+Z to restore the previous state.
  3. Use Ctrl+Y or a later row to restore the edit.
  4. Save the level or drawing when you want to keep the result; history is a way to navigate edits, not a saved-level backup.

Undo changes the line instead of the level

Exit line edit-point mode before using the level-history shortcut.

An old line edit is absent

Line history resets at the start and end of a line editing session.
