Rainbow & Electricity Objects

Configure procedural rainbow shapes and branching electricity with their own geometry, textures, animation and glow.

Creator guide

What you can build

Configure procedural rainbow shapes and branching electricity with their own geometry, textures, animation and glow.

The options below are grouped by the way you use them. Available controls depend on the selected object, editor mode and enabled features.

Options and behavior

Find the control you need, then follow the setup steps to test it in a level.

Rainbow objects

Rainbow objects options
OptionWhat it does
Color Type / Reverse ColorsChoose the color pattern and reverse its ordering.
Reverse Animation / Animation Speed (fps)Reverse the color animation and set its frame rate.
Rainbow Width / Rainbow Height / Rainbow ThicknessSet dimensions for supported straight rainbow shapes.
Rainbow Radius X / Rainbow Radius Y / Rainbow AngleSet horizontal and vertical radii and the extent of a curved rainbow.
Rainbow PrecisionTune geometric detail for the curved shape.

Electricity objects

Electricity objects options
OptionWhat it does
Electricity ThicknessSet the main electrical line thickness.
Enable Electricity Line Texture / Electricity Line Texture TypeUse a selected texture for the electrical line.
Electricity Line Texture Compression / Flip Line Texture Vertical / HorizontalTune the texture placement and mirroring.
Electricity Steps / Electricity SpeedTune the procedural detail and animation rate.
Electricity Wave Length / Electricity AmplitudeTune spacing and displacement of the electrical pattern.
Electricity Max Children / Electricity Children ProbabilityLimit branching and tune the chance of child branches.
Electricity Children Life Span Minimum / MaximumSet the lifetime range for branches. The minimum control is spelled Minumum in the current panel.
Electricity Child Decay / Electricity Child AngleTune branch decay and direction.
Enable Glow / Electricity Glow Alpha / Blur / QualityEnable and tune glow around the electrical line.

Creator guide

Try it in a level

Start with a small scene so each setting has a visible result.

  1. Place the supported procedural object and set its dimensions first.
  2. Choose a color or line texture and preview its animation.
  3. For electricity, start with a low child count and tune branch lifetime and probability.
  4. Add glow last so the underlying shape remains readable.

Creator guide

If the result looks wrong

Use the symptom to find the next setting to check.

The effect obscures other objects

Reduce glow alpha or blur and check layer placement.

The electrical scene becomes too busy

Reduce child probability, maximum children or branch lifetime.
